Share Our Experience!

With less than one month before our trip to Zambia, we are putting our ideas into action and getting excited for this incredible experience with Habitat for Humanity's Global Village. We will be spending almost two weeks in Lusaka, Zambia working alongside the local community to help build decent, affordable shelter.

Why did we choose Zambia? The demand for housing in this country is rising and an estimated 1.3 million homes will be needed by the year 2030. To fulfill this goal, 200,000 houses will need to be built annually. Our desire is to help Zambia achieve this goal by partnering with Habitat for Humanity’s Global Village. As you may know, this organization is a nonprofit, Christian housing ministry that believes every person should have a decent, affordable, and safe place to live.

Following this blog will be a great way to stay involved with our journey! We plan to update it as frequently as possible with the limited internet access we will have.

Please bless our group with positive thoughts and prayers for our journey. We will be departing for Zambia on May 22nd and returning on June 3rd. We are looking forward to not only building homes, but creating lasting relationships within the community and with each other as well.

"Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope."
